Overview

A budget distribution takes a budget set at one level and splits it across the ad units one level down, for example a campaign budget across its ad objects. A model decides the split, using a benchmark metric. The Distributions tab lists every split in the workspace so you can see what is running and on which account.

How it works

1

A budget sits at the top

The split starts from a budget on a campaign, ad object or ad account.
2

A model splits it

The model divides that budget across the ad units below, weighted by a Benchmark metric: Ads GMV, Ads spend, ROAS or Impression.
3

It runs in its window

Active window and Valid dates set when the split applies.

Use it

See your distributions

Open Automations and select the Distributions tab. Each row reads what it splits, the model and the schedule. Select Show budget dashboard for the totals above the list.

Read one distribution

Select a row to open its detail: Model, Benchmark metric, Benchmark date, Active window and Valid dates. The units listed come from the current live split.

Change a distribution

Distribution settings live on the campaign. In the detail, select Open campaign configuration to change the model or the benchmark.

Start a new one

Open the menu next to New script and select New distribution. Pick a template from the Budget distribution gallery, then finish the setup on the campaign.
