# Notifications

> Know what Epsilo tells you about, and where each message lands.

## Overview

Epsilo reaches you in three places: Inbox in the app, email, and the chat apps you send alerts and reports to. Inbox holds what needs you now. Alerts and scheduled reports go where you point them.

## Where messages land

| What | Where it goes |

| Expiring or dropped connections, join requests, failed automation runs | [Inbox](https://epsilo.ai/docs/inbox/inbox.md), in the left menu. The Inbox count shows how many need you. |
| Alerts you set | The channel you picked: Email, Slack, Google Chat or Lark. See [Alerts](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/alerts.md). |
| Results of a script or schedule | Slack or Email, if you turned on **Notify me** in its **Notification** section. See [Scripts](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/scripts.md). |
| Scheduled reports | The channel set on the schedule. See [Schedule a report](https://epsilo.ai/docs/artifacts/schedule-a-report.md). |

## Use it

### Check what needs you

Open **Inbox** from the left menu. When nothing needs you, it says "You're all caught up", and you can select **Create an alert** to choose what should land there next.

### Get told when an automation has a problem

Open the script or schedule, go to **Notification** and select **Notify me**. Pick **If it runs into a problem**, and add **Every time it makes a change** or **When it runs but does nothing** if you want more.

### Set up an alert

See [Alerts](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/alerts.md). New alerts message you at most once a day.

### Review your settings

Open **Settings**, then **Notifications**. The **Email** section lists the emails Epsilo can send you: **Activity in your workspace**, **Page updates**, **Workspace digest**, and **Announcements and update emails**.

> The iOS app notifies you when a connection or an answer finishes. Turn it on in the app under Account, **Notifications**. Automation alerts go to your channels, not to iOS push.

> Check the channel is still connected. A disconnected channel shows **Channel disconnected • delivering nowhere** on the alert.
