# GMV Max, ad group

> Create and run a Shopee Product Ads GMV Max by group campaign from Epsilo, with a ROAS target and Rapid boost.

> [!NOTE]

> **Find it in** Campaigns, **Create campaign**, then Shopee and Product Ads GMV Max by group as the ad tool. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

GMV Max by group runs a group of products toward one ROAS target. Most tuning happens at the ad object level and below. You can also turn on Rapid boost to push harder in a short window.

## How it works

**1. Open the create form**

Go to **Campaigns** and select **Create campaign**.

**2. Fill in General**

Pick **Platform** (Shopee), **Market**, **Ad account** and **Ad tool**. Enter a **Name** and the timeline.

**3. Pick products**

Add the products for the group. Keep the first campaign small so the signal stays clear.

**4. Set Optimization**

In **Optimization**, set **Target metric** (ROAS) and **Target**. Choose **Surge optimization**: **Inactive** or **Rapid boost**. On an existing campaign, **Bidding strategy** shows the live strategy.

**5. Set the budget and publish**

Set the campaign daily budget and select **Publish**.

> [!WARNING]
>
> A product can be ongoing in only one GMV Max campaign at a time. If it is live in another GMV Max campaign, publish is blocked.

## Use it

### Push harder in a sale window

Set **Surge optimization** to **Rapid boost** for the window, then back to **Inactive** after. Rapid boost raises the ad's visibility for a while without rebuilding the campaign.

### Relaunch for the next promo

Restart an ended campaign, set a new timeline, and update the target if the promo needs a different goal. You keep the structure you already tested.

### What you can automate

* Schedules: campaign max bidding price and daily budget; ad object bid, daily budget and ROAS target; ad placement status, bid and match type.
* Scripts: ad object daily budget, target and bid; ad placement status and bid.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Publish fails on one ad object
>
> The product is probably live in another GMV Max campaign. Find that campaign, remove the product there (GMV Max may only offer remove, not pause), then publish again.

> [accordion] I changed the target and results became unstable
>
> Avoid back to back target changes. If you need different targets by time of day, use a [schedule](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/schedules.md) on the ROAS target so changes are planned and logged.

> [accordion] The campaign is not spending
>
> Check Ad live time first. If it is low, delivery was cut by budget, status, stock or the wallet. If it is healthy, check whether the target is too strict.
