# Sponsored Search

> Create and run a Lazada Sponsored Search campaign from Epsilo with keywords and bids you control.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Find it in** Campaigns, **Create campaign**, then Lazada and Sponsored Search as the ad tool. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

Sponsored Search shows your products when shoppers search on Lazada. You set the budget, add one ad object, pick keywords and bids, and Epsilo creates the campaign in Lazada Seller Center.

## How it works

**1. Open the create form**

Go to **Campaigns** and select **Create campaign**.

**2. Fill in General**

Pick **Platform** (Lazada), **Market**, **Ad account** and **Ad tool** (Sponsored Search). Enter a **Name**, the timeline, and optionally a **Brief** and a **Tag**.

**3. Choose keyword settings**

Set **Ad keyword selection method** to **Manual** or **Auto**, and pick the **Keyword match type**. Lazada does not let you change the match type after the campaign is created.

**4. Set Optimization**

Set the budget and, if you want a cap, **Max bidding price**.

**5. Add the ad object and keywords**

Add one ad object. Its name is the name shown in Seller Center. Add keywords from Epsilo's suggestions or type your own. If you leave a bid empty, Epsilo applies the minimum bid.

**6. Publish**

Select **Publish**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Epsilo supports one ad object per Sponsored Search campaign.

## Use it

### Pause or resume

Change the status on the campaign or the ad object. Pausing a Sponsored Search campaign does not pause its ad objects. If you do not want a product to run when you resume, pause its ad object too.

### Protect ROAS with manual bids

Use **Manual**, set a bid per keyword, and add a [script](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/scripts.md) that lowers bids when ROAS drops under target and raises them when ROAS is strong and budget use is high.

### Raise budget for a sale window

Add a [schedule](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/schedules.md) that raises the daily budget at the start of the window, for example 10:00 to 14:00, and lowers it after.

## Why a campaign stops

* The campaign or ad object is paused.
* The campaign budget or the shop balance is used up.
* No products are in the campaign.
* The end date is reached.

## FAQ

> [accordion] Ongoing but no spend
>
> Check the shop balance, budget use, timeline, that at least one ad object is ongoing, and that keyword bids are above the minimum for your market.

> [accordion] A keyword shows Removed, not Paused
>
> That is how Lazada marks a deactivated keyword in Sponsored Search. It was not deleted by mistake. If you did not remove it, send the campaign ID and keyword to [support@epsilo.io](mailto:support@epsilo.io).

> [accordion] A bid or status change did not reach Seller Center
>
> Wait 10 to 15 minutes and refresh. Check the bid is above the minimum. If it still has not synced, send the ad account ID, campaign ID and the change to [support@epsilo.io](mailto:support@epsilo.io).

> [accordion] Can I change the match type later?
>
> No. Lazada locks it after creation. Create a new campaign with the match type you want. Broad reaches more shoppers; exact is narrower and usually converts better.
