# ChatGPT Ads

> Connect ChatGPT Ads with an API key and run its campaigns next to every other network.

## Overview

ChatGPT Ads is a new network with its own ads manager. Connect it to Epsilo with an API key and its campaigns sit next to your other ad accounts: the same tables, the same Console answers, the same automations.

## How it works

**1. Copy your API key**

In the ChatGPT Ads manager, open settings and copy your API key. In Epsilo, **Where do I find this?** opens [ads.openai.com/settings](https://ads.openai.com/settings).

**2. Pick ChatGPT**

Select **Connect ad account**, then **Connect now** on ChatGPT.

**3. Paste the key**

Paste the key into **API key** and select **Connect**. Epsilo checks the key first and shows **Key verified** with the account name, currency and time zone.

**4. Let it sync**

Epsilo starts pulling your campaigns. Spend, clicks and impressions arrive with the first sync.

There is no sign-in redirect and no setup call. If the account is not active in ChatGPT Ads, Epsilo says so and asks you to reactivate it there first. To switch keys, select **Use a different key**.

## Use it

### Create or edit a campaign

Go to **Campaigns** and select **Create campaign**, then pick ChatGPT as the platform. Under **General**, a ChatGPT Ads campaign adds:

* **Objective metric**: what the campaign optimizes for.
* **Conversion event**: the event the campaign optimizes toward.
* **Tracking parameters**: parameters added to your links. Shown on campaigns that already exist.

Targeting is by **Locations**, set on the campaign.

### Ask about it in Console

Once synced, ask Botep about ChatGPT Ads in [Console](https://epsilo.ai/docs/console/console.md) like any other network.

## FAQ

> No. An automation cannot set a ChatGPT Ads campaign's daily budget to 0; it says "Budget must be greater than zero." Pause the campaign instead.

> No. Epsilo stores it encrypted and does not show it again. To change it, connect again with **Use a different key**.
