# Weekly and monthly review

> Close the week or the month: prove the number, catch drift the daily read misses, and send one clear story.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Uses** Home, Targets, Console, Artifacts and Automations. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

The daily check keeps today on track. The weekly and monthly review is where you check the trend, reconcile with the network, and hand a clean story to whoever signs off the spend. Build it once, then put it on a schedule.

## How it works

**1. Switch the cadence**

In Home, open **View options** and set **Cadence** to **Weekly review** (compared with last week) or **Monthly review** (pace against the plan, compared with last month). See [Cadences and roles](https://epsilo.ai/docs/home/cadences-and-roles.md).

**2. Check pace against the plan**

Read the **Target** section. It shows the month against your targets, not against yesterday. See [Pacing against targets](https://epsilo.ai/docs/targets/pacing.md).

**3. Read the trend, not only the total**

Ask Botep which ad accounts and brands moved, and why. Use [Missed GMV](https://epsilo.ai/docs/portfolio/metrics-glossary.md) across the period to size what budget, wallet, stock and pauses cost.

**4. Reconcile**

Line up Epsilo's numbers with the network's own reports for the period. Lazada Sponsored Max can report by purchase date when finance books on order date.

**5. Package and send**

Save the answer as an artifact and share it, or schedule it so it arrives every week or month. See [Schedule a report](https://epsilo.ai/docs/artifacts/schedule-a-report.md).

## Use it

### Review what the automations did

Open **Automations** and read the **Log** tab for the period. Check runs that failed or paused themselves, and fix the cause before next week.

### Shape next month

At month close, set next month's targets and shape them by day so sale days carry more. See [Shape a month](https://epsilo.ai/docs/targets/shape-a-month.md).

### Make the review repeatable

Turn the questions you ask every week into one artifact. Everyone on the team then runs the same review the same way.

## Ask Botep

```text theme={"system"}
Summarize last week by ad account: spend, ads GMV, ROAS, and what changed most.
```

```text theme={"system"}
How are we pacing against this month's targets, and which ad accounts are furthest behind?
```

```text theme={"system"}
How much Missed GMV did we have last month, split by cause?
```

## FAQ

> [accordion] Numbers don't match the network's report
>
> Check the connection is healthy in **Inbox** first. Then check the network's own history limits: Shopee keeps at most 6 months of ad performance and 2 months of affiliate conversions. If a gap remains, send the ad account, the metric and the date to [support@epsilo.io](mailto:support@epsilo.io).

> [accordion] A scheduled change did not happen
>
> Open the automation's log. A schedule can fail when the campaign changed after you set it, for example a network minimum moved. The log shows the reason.
