# Daily check

> A five minute morning read: find where money is leaking, then decide what to change before you touch anything.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Uses** Home, Inbox, Portfolio and Console. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

Each morning you want three answers fast: is today on track, where is money leaking, and what to change first. Home answers the first two at the top of Console. This playbook is the order a strong operator reads it in, and what to do with each finding.

## How it works

**1. Clear the Inbox**

Open **Inbox** first. It holds what needs you before anything else: connections about to lapse, failed automation runs, join requests. Select **Reconnect** on an expiring connection so tomorrow's data still lands. See [Inbox](https://epsilo.ai/docs/inbox/inbox.md).

**2. Read Home on Daily check**

Open **Console**. In **View options**, set **Cadence** to **Daily check**, so today is compared with the same weekday last week. See [Cadences and roles](https://epsilo.ai/docs/home/cadences-and-roles.md).

**3. Follow the money**

Read **Intraday** for pace, then **Capture** for the money you are losing: wallets running dry, budgets exhausted, out of stock products still spending. Then **Top movers** for the ad account that moved the whole number.

**4. Ask why before you act**

On any card, select **Ask why**. Botep answers in Console with that context, so you fix the cause, not the symptom.

**5. Act, then check the overnight work**

Make the changes below, then read **Agents activity** to see what your automations did while you were away.

## Use it

### A campaign went dark on budget

Raise the daily budget, or let a [script](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/scripts.md) or a [distribution](https://epsilo.ai/docs/automation/budget-distribution.md) move budget before the day ends. Use [Ad live time](https://epsilo.ai/docs/portfolio/metrics-glossary.md) to see when it stopped.

### A product is below your ROAS target

Cap its daily budget with a script, or pause it. If many products need the same change, open [Apply now](https://epsilo.ai/docs/portfolio/apply-now.md) in Portfolio and apply the suggested changes in one pass.

### A loss you cannot explain

Open [Missed GMV](https://epsilo.ai/docs/portfolio/metrics-glossary.md) by hour to see when the drop started and which cause led: budget, wallet, stock or a pause.

### Keep the read one click away

When an answer in Console is the view you want every morning, save it with **Save as artifact**, then **Pin to my workflow**. To get it sent to you, see [Schedule a report](https://epsilo.ai/docs/artifacts/schedule-a-report.md).

## Ask Botep

```text theme={"system"}
Which ad accounts are behind pace today, and why?
```

```text theme={"system"}
Which campaigns ran out of budget yesterday, and what did it cost in Missed GMV?
```

```text theme={"system"}
List products below their ROAS target this week with their spend.
```

## FAQ

> [accordion] Home is empty
>
> Home needs a connected ad account and its first day of data. Right after you connect, sections show that performance is syncing.

> [accordion] Missed GMV looks far too large
>
> Treat it as a direction, not a final number. Check it next to actual ads GMV and Ad live time, and act on the biggest cause. See [Missed GMV](https://epsilo.ai/docs/portfolio/metrics-glossary.md).

> [accordion] A product is live on the network but missing in Epsilo
>
> A new product can lag one sync. Give it a full cycle, then check the connection is healthy in **Inbox**. If it is still missing after a day, send the ad account, product ID and link to [support@epsilo.io](mailto:support@epsilo.io). See [Data syncing](https://epsilo.ai/docs/data/data-syncing.md).
