# Data syncing

> How data moves from your ad networks into Epsilo, and how your changes go back.

> **Find it in** every screen's "Updated" stamp, and **Settings** > **Access** for who can push changes. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

Epsilo pulls campaigns and performance from each connected ad account, and sends the changes you make back to the network. Every screen shows when its numbers last updated, so you always know how fresh they are.

## How it works

**1. First import**

After you connect, recent campaigns arrive first and performance follows. Epsilo imports up to 6 months of history for each ad account.

**2. Ongoing sync**

Epsilo keeps pulling new data in the background. Home checks for fresh numbers about once a minute while the tab is open.

**3. Your changes go out**

Budget, status and bid changes you make in Epsilo are sent to the network, for every ad account set to **Operate**.

## Use it

### Check how fresh a number is

Look for the stamp, for example "Updated 2m ago". On Home, select **Refresh now** to check again. Emailed reports carry "Data as of" with the date.

### Follow a first import

While an ad account imports, Home and Inbox show its progress, for example "syncing performance" or "first data in about 2 hours". The import keeps running when you leave the page.

### Stop Epsilo from pushing changes to an ad account

Owners can set an ad account to view only:

1. Open **Settings** > **Access**.
2. On the ad account, open the menu and select **Switch to View**.
3. Confirm. Epsilo stops pushing campaign changes to the network for this ad account.

Switch it back to **Operate** the same way.

## Ask Botep

```text theme={"system"}
When did each of my ad accounts last sync, and is any of them behind?
```

```text theme={"system"}
Which ad accounts are still importing history?
```

## FAQ

> [accordion] Why don't my numbers match the network yet?
>
> Right after you connect, history is still filling in. Compare the same dates and time zone once the import finishes.

> [accordion] What happens if a connection lapses?
>
> Changes from Epsilo to that ad account fail until you renew it. See [Connection health](https://epsilo.ai/docs/connect/connection-health.md).

> [accordion] A product runs on the network but is missing in Epsilo
>
> Give it one sync cycle. If it is still missing after a day, email [support@epsilo.io](mailto:support@epsilo.io) with the shop name and the product ID.
