# Ask Botep

> Ask a question in Console, scope it to the right ad accounts, and get the answer as a chat or an artifact.

## Overview

Botep is the agent that answers in Console. You ask in plain words, scope the question with `@`, and Botep answers from the data Epsilo has synced for your workspace. This page covers the moves you use on every question: scoping, answering follow-ups, choosing a reply mode and working with the answer.

## How it works

**1. Type the question**

Write it the way you would ask a teammate who can see every ad account.

**2. Scope it**

Type `@` and pick an ad account, ad network, country, ad tool or campaign. The pick becomes part of the question.

**3. Answer follow-ups**

If something is unclear, Botep asks first. Pick an option or write your own, use **Next** and **Back** between questions, then select **Submit answers**.

**4. Read and refine**

Ask a follow-up in the same conversation. The scope carries over.

## Use it

### Scope a question with @

Type `@` in the composer. A menu opens with ad accounts, ad networks, countries, ad tools and campaigns. Keep typing to filter, then press Enter or Tab to pick. Names with spaces work; you don't need quotes.

### Use a saved view with

Type `#` to pick one of your saved campaign views. Botep reads the filters of that view as the scope.

### Run a skill with /

Type `/` to pick a skill your workspace has set up. A skill fills in a prompt your team reuses. Skills are managed in Workspace settings, **Agents settings**. Available on paid plans. See [pricing](https://epsilo.ai/pricing).

### Choose a chat or an artifact

The reply mode toggle in the composer reads **Chat** or **Artifact**:

* **Chat** gives a quick text answer.
* **Artifact** builds a live artifact with charts and tables that you can keep, refresh and share. See [Artifacts](https://epsilo.ai/docs/artifacts/artifacts.md).

### Speak the question

Select the microphone in the composer and talk. With **Voice to text**, your words appear in the composer; select the microphone again to stop, read it back, then send. Where your browser supports it, the microphone starts a voice chat instead: Botep listens, answers out loud, and you tap to interrupt or stop.

### Work with an answer

Hover an answer to see its actions:

* **Copy answer** copies the text.
* **Regenerate** asks again with the same question.
* **Edit** on your own message lets you change the question and run it again.
* The thumbs mark it a **Good response** or a **Bad response**.

### Ask about one ad account from Portfolio

In Portfolio, open the menu on an ad account and select **Ask about this account**. Console opens with that ad account already in scope.
