# Members and roles

> See who is in your workspace, change roles, remove members and set ad account access.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Find it in** the workspace menu at the top of the left menu, **Settings** > **Members**. Ad account access is in **Settings** > **Access**. **Last updated** 9 Oct 2026.

## Overview

Every member of a workspace has one role: **Owner**, **Admin** or **Member**. The role sets what they can change in the workspace. Which ad accounts they can read or operate is set separately, in **Access**.

## How it works

**1. Owner**

Full control of the workspace, including member roles and workspace removal.

**2. Admin**

Can change workspace settings and invite new members to the workspace.

**3. Member**

Cannot change workspace settings or invite new members to the workspace.

Owners have full access to every ad account. Members see the ad accounts an owner allocates to them.

## Use it

### Find a member

Open **Settings** > **Members**. Use **Search members**, and switch between **Active** and **Deactivated**.

### Change a role

Owners and admins open the member's **Role** and pick a new one. A workspace always keeps one owner: "Last Owner cannot be demoted. Promote another member first."

### Remove a member

Open the member's menu and select **Remove member**, then confirm. They lose access to all workspace resources immediately. You can invite them again at any time.

### Approve a join request

People on your email domain can ask to join. Owners and admins see them under **Pending join requests**. Approve to add them as a **Member**, or deny to dismiss the request.

### Give a member access to ad accounts

Owners allocate ad accounts.

1. Open **Settings** > **Access**.
2. Select **By member**, then the member.
3. Select **Allocate ad accounts**, pick the accounts and set **Read** or **Write**.

**By portfolio** shows the same access from the ad account side.

### Cap a member's AI use

Owners and admins select **Edit token cap** on a member to limit how much they can use Console. Leave it empty for **Unlimited**.

## FAQ

> [accordion] A member says they see no ad accounts
>
> Allocate ad accounts to them in **Settings** > **Access**. New members start without ad account access unless an owner gives it.

> [accordion] What is the Epsilo controller on Access?
>
> It sets whether Epsilo pushes changes to that ad account: **Operate** sends changes, **View** is read only. Owners change it with **Switch to View**. See [Data syncing](https://epsilo.ai/docs/data/data-syncing.md).
